Misrepresenting the Holy Spirit VII: False Prophets, Apostles, Pastors and MONEY!

February 27, 2013

Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech,

“How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? (Proverbs 1:20)

Read Part Six Here.

Now lets dig into the most egregious forms of misrepresenting the Holy Spirit (MHS) the Heretical Crew performs. The so-called prophets, prophetesses, healers, phony modern apostles, fake pastors and last but not least the tongue speakers. The first one we’ll talk about is prophesying and people who call themselves prophets and prophetesses. This one is pretty easy to discredit, while also seeing how disrespectful they are to GOD’S true prophets of the Bible.

First of all every one of the prophets in the Bible were righteous men and women. The prophets you see today are anything but. This is made clear by the second trait of a true prophet, which is they’re never wrong.  I had one fake prophet tell me lately “that’s only the case in the Old Testament and it’s no longer true”. So in other words what that person is saying, is GOD is misspeaking through people now. GOD’S mixing up His words or lying through people now. That this deception by a perfect GOD is a new thing for the New Testament and today? YOU BETTER REPENT!

Next, the true prophets came to do two things. The first was to tell where the country, people, or person is currently or has been and what they need to do moving forward, and the second was to tell them what will happen if they don’t. They don’t need to confirm facts with their husbands in the middle of speeches regarding stories they’ve told hundreds of times just to make it appear as if the story really happened. They don’t sit across the table from people and play psychic (all psychics are works of the devil) and try to speak vaguely and uselessly into people’s lives. They didn’t sit in churches and act as if GOD was speaking into people’s lives through them, only to tell them nice, uplifting, affirming, validating things to make them feel good FOR MONEY!

Prophets were most prevalent in the Old Testament and by prevalent I mean extremely rare, as a matter of fact there were no prophets at all for four hundred years before Jesus. The Old Testament was when GOD’S revelation to us was scarcest. When GOD didn’t have Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit living inside of us, and the Bible to spread His word and reveal Himself to us. The gift of prophecy has ceased with the canonization of the Bible.

So lets look at the evidence:

  1. The Bible warns over and over again about false prophets. (Matthew 7:21-23, 1 John 4:1, 2 Peter 2:1, Matthew 7:15, Matthew 24:11, Matthew 24:24.) Just copy and paste the verse into Google.
  2. In the Old Testament being a false prophet was so damaging to the Kingdom, it called for them to be killed.
  3. In the Old Testament prophets were rare, and in the New Testament that’s even more the case.
  4. The true prophets were known to tell the truth and never be wrong and the truth usually hurt.
  5. True prophets always gave the glory to GOD.

And now you have supposed prophets all over the place. Buttering people up so that those same people wont call them out, in an effort to get the ones who want their ears tickled to hand over their money, while the impostors boast in themselves and how special they are. They have only one choice and that’s to bring their sin to light and repent of it.

Now lets move to people who call themselves apostles. What a disgrace to the original Apostles, the ones who gave their lives for Jesus Christ, the Gospels and GOD. The righteous men, who walked with Jesus, witnessed His resurrection and saw Him ascend into heaven. The ones who dropped everything they had to follow a Guy they didn’t know and then were beat, stoned, jailed and killed for spreading the Truth.

And now you have a group of carni’s running around boasting in themselves, applying titles to themselves, and deceiving the Kingdom of GOD.  Like the Bible says “They love to be greeted in the market places and have men call them rabbi” (Matthew 23:7) A group of nobodies who talk a good game but can’t make it through a sentence with out telling you what millionaire they know or what mayor they healed or what state rep they prophesied to.

They don’t dare go out into the world with these stories, they keep them in their little circle. The circle they can manipulate because the people they’re lying to are sadly in such desperate need of spiritual help they’re easily deceived. The circle that is filled with other wolves that scratch each others back, validate each others stories so that when the naïve sheep walk in they can take their MONEY! Many of the real Apostles made a point to take nothing from anyone even though they rightfully deserved it.

The main difference between the gift of Apostleship and gifts such as tongues and prophecy is this one is alive and well. You can recognize a true Apostle by their never-ending thirst to build unique powerful ministries for GOD’S Kingdom. They pave the way, just like the original Apostles, they don’t do the mundane. They’ll take chance after chance on GOD while having people tell them it’s not going to work. True Apostles won’t be content in some little church that struggles to make it. True Apostles will give all the glory to GOD for everything they do. True Apostles won’t boast about whom they know or whom they’ve ministered to. True Apostles wont be looking for MONEY everywhere they go. True Apostles would rather die then have people call them Apostles!

On that same note, fake pastors are much of the same. Pastors are called to be a shepherd over a flock, they’re called to preach and teach, and having a church is a simply byproduct. There will be no need for this person to slap a title on themselves and put on a show. GOD will exalt this person and make it obvious they’re called to the office of Pastor. So if you know someone’s who been calling themselves or who others have been calling pastor for more than a couple years and they don’t teach, preach, have a church and tend to a flock, you should be very weary of this person and that person should seriously question their relationship with GOD.

Read Part Eight Here

   Whoever corrects a mocker invites insults;

     whoever rebukes the wicked incurs abuse.

    Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you;

     rebuke the wise and they will love you.

   Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still;

     teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.

  (Proverbs 9:7-9)

  1. While some of your post is spot on correct in exposing false prophets, you are lumping things you do not understand together and as such are blaspheming against the Holy Spirit itself and Jesus own words;
    (Mk. 16:15-18 NAS) ” And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 “He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. 17 “And these signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it shall not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.””
